• Space Photo Archive

  Here's an image if the plane Neptune with its moon Triton in the background. This photo was shot by the Voyager II spacecraft in 1989. The image and a lot more like it are available for downloading from the Planetary Image Atlas at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory site.

• Microsoft TerraServer (maps and images)

  The Microsoft TerraServer is a web site providing free public access to a "vast data store of maps and aerial photographs of the United States." The site also includes aerial or satellite photos of many other parts of the world. Scale and coordinate information is available for the images and maps, making them usable in MARPLOT if you use the "georeferencing" option.

• Internet Security

  The Computer Security Resource Clearinghouse (CSRC) is designed to collect and disseminate computer security information and resources to help users, systems administrators, managers, and security professionals better protect their data and systems.

  Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) is a federally funded research and development center set up in 1988 after the Morris Worm incident crippled approximately 10% of all computers connected to the Internet. CERT's focus is on large scale internet security issues.

  If you need to refer to federal regulations, here's a site you should know about. Operated by the U.S. Government Printing Office, it contains a searchable database of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Federal Register and more.
